* At long last the “Funky Weapon” Ryusuke Taguchi wins the Best of the Super Jr. tournament! A momentous finale to the BOSJ saw Taguchi beat PAC in the first semi final then Devitt again fall to Low Ki and apparently get a legitimately injured knee in the process. Taguchi then did the seemingly impossible and stalled the Low Ki juggernaut, which had seen the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion win nine matches in a row in the tournament. Taguchi dug deep in a Rocky Balbao-esque performance after getting his eye injured, coming back to sink Low Ki with the Milano–saku Dodon’s Throne! It now looks almost certain that these two will clash in six day’s time for the title at “DOMINION 6.16″. Can Taguchi use this momentum to not only go on and win the title but finally escape from the shadow of his sworn friend and tag partner Devitt?
* TAKA & Taichi challenged Liger & Tiger Mask to a match for the vacant IWGP Jr. Tag Title during the show, so that could also be added to the upcoming Osaka card.
