Young lion Mitsuhide Hirasawa is a champion! He hasn’t even been in Puerto Rico long on his learning excursion but the Nagata disciple, using the ring name Hideo Saito, captured the WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Title in a battle royale on the 25th.
This is Hirasawa’s first career title and he has made an immediate impact in Puerto Rico. He has called himself Hideo Saito to combine two well known Japanese names in America: former New Japan star Masa Saito and former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hideo Nomo.

The full card and match order for “DESTRUCTION ‘10″ on October 11th has been announced with some interesting additions. Yuji Nagata & Koji Kanemoto go to war with Pro Wrestling NOAH when they battle Go Shiozaki & Atsushi Aoki in a special tag match. Nagata and Shiozaki squared off in the G1 with Nagata victorious that day and Shiozaki is out for revenge. In an attempt to settle their grudge, Yano and TAJIRI again meet in a special singles match. And as announced recently, Jushin Thunder Liger returns in triumph after a very successful expedition to CMLL in Mexico, teaming with Wataru and Honma against the Complete Players.
New Japan heads to Yamagata before Sumo Hall with a standalone show featuring a special main event of Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma vs. Satoshi Kojima & Great Sasuke!
New Japan also announced NEVER.4, the fourth installment of its youth-centered brand, for November 18th at Shin-Kiba 1st RING.
