* “Time Splitters” KUSHIDA & Alex Shelley wasted no time in earning a second shot at Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov’s IWGP Jr. Tag Team Title by winning the Super Jr. Tag Tournament in today’s finale at Korakuen. They overcame Suzuki-gun’s TAKA & Taichi in their semi final while Apollo 55 defeated the champions in the other to show they also meant business. And so it came down to two fan favourite teams as Devitt & Taguchi faces KUSHIDA & Shelley in an exciting final. But it was the newer team who triumphed as on a big day for him KUSHIDA pinned Taguchi following the I-94. The winners immediately challenged Forever Hooligans for a title shot on 11/11 in Osaka and that is certain to take place.
* New Japan announced that it’s popular collaboration with Mexican giants CMLL will expand in 2013! “FANTASTICA MANIA 2013″ will run over three shows next January instead of two after the concept has been such a success so far.
