10. World Tag League – Final: Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima (18:57) when Anderson pinned Tenzan after the Magic Killer.
* On their first tour as a tandem, Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows have won the 2013 World Tag League! The American duo won the first semi final today over Makabe & Honma, while Tenzan & Kojima earned some revenge over the IWGP Tag Team Champions, Killer Elite Squad, in the other, setting up a rematch from 12/3 in Hakata where Anderson & Gallows beat TenKoji. And they did again! Anderson, for the third time in his career with his third different partner, won the tag league by pinning Tenzan following the Magic Killer. The new team then demanded an IWGP Tag Team Title shot so could face Archer & Smith at the Tokyo Dome on 1/4!
* Hirooki Goto appeared during the show and announced he will be returning to action very soon. Goto was injured during the G1 Climax, where he was impressing, and nominated Katsuyori Shibata, his former university classmate, as his return match opponent. The two were embroiled in an intense series of matches before Goto’s injury.

7. IWGP Intercontinental Title: Masato Tanaka
(c) beat MVP (10:09) with the Sliding D (2nd defense).
8. Special Singles Match: Minoru Suzuki beat Giant Bernard (11:53) with a Gotch-style piledriver.
9. Special Singles Match: Shinsuke Nakamura beat Tetsuya Naito (13:15) with the Boma Ye.
10. IWGP Heavyweight Title: Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) beat Yuji Nagata (30:16) with the High Fly Flow (10th defense).
* Hiroshi Tanahashi tied Yuji Nagata’s V10 defense record of the IWGP Heavyweight Title by beating the man himself in a half hour epic today in Aichi. Beating Nagata means that if Tanahashi wins his next defense he will smash Nagata’s defense record and enhance his growing legacy. Tanahashi was confronted after the match by Minoru Suzuki, who had beaten Giant Bernard earlier, and who demanded to be Tanahashi’s Tokyo Dome opponent in January, which will mark the one-year anniversary of Tana’s title win, so this looks to be the main event of WKVI.
* The much awaited G1 Climax 2011 final rematch went the same way with CHAOS leader Nakamura pinning Naito in a fiery match following his Boma Ye, Nakamura showing he is still a leading man in New Japan despite Tanahashi’s near monopoly of the title.
* Masato Tanaka continues to impress as IWGP Intercontinental Title by withstanding the challenge of the man he took it off, MVP. Tanaka pinned the former WWE superstar after smashing him with the Sliding D.
* Devitt’s second reign as IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion also continued as he beat rival Davey Richards in his V2 defense. Devitt has already repeated his successful defenses against Richards and TAKA from his first reign now in his current reign.
* TenKoji’s reunion went without a hitch as they bested CHAOS’ crazy duo of Iizuka & Saito, Tenzan forcing Iizuka to tap out. The big talking point after the match came when CHAOS appeared to kick the mentally unstable Saito out of their faction!
* The two other special tag matches both seemed to suggest singles matches at the Tokyo Dome: Makabe vs. Takayama and Goto vs. Sugiura, both of which would continue old rivalries.

8. G1 Climax - Block A: Togi Makabe [2] beat Prince Devitt [4] (13:36) with a King Kong kneedrop.
* Makabe finally gets off the mark in the IWGP Heavyweight vs. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight main event, pinning Devitt. This moves him to a 1-2 record but Devitt is still 2-1.
* Tanahashi continues to struggle a little, only managing to draw with NO LIMIT’s Naito today. Naito beat Tanahashi in the New Japan Cup this year in what was a major upset, so continues to impress in big singles matches.
* Nakamura also got off the mark following a poor start, beating Bernard in the first ever singles match between the two.
* In the battle of “outsiders”, freelance Kojima lariated Shiozaki in somewhat of a surprise outcome, as these sort of matches often go to 30 minute draws in the G1.

–> “CIRCUIT 2009 NEW JAPAN CUP ~SOUL ON THE RING~” <--
The fifth annual New Japan Cup began today in Nagoya with 12 of the 14 participants in round one action - 2007 and 2008 winners, Giant Bernard and Yuji Nagata, getting passes to the second round with 2009 winner, Tanahashi, not in it as the idea of the tournament is to find a challenger for the winner of his match with Kurt Angle. It began with a battle of GBH as Tomoaki Honma got to face Takashi Iizuka after winning a participation match over young lion Hirasawa. Unfortunately for Honma there was to be no nice, clean fight today, as Iizuka ripped his head open and beat him to a bloody pulp before pinning him. The main midcard feud of the moment, Wataru Inoue vs. Tomohiro Ishii, saw little settled today as they first battled to a double countout, then in the restarted match, Ishii won by countout but this seemed to do little to settle their grudge.
After a career-boosting performance as part of one of the hottest matches of the year so far when he and Nakamura invaded NOAH recently, Milano Collection AT showed more signs of life after a long hibernation. He upset GBH's Toru Yano with his craftiness, beating the strong man with a cradle. Hirooki Goto, as expected, got the better of Karl Anderson with a modified armlock, leaving the two big matches of the first round left. On-again, off-again tag partners Nakanishi and Yoshie went to war in a hard-hitting 20 minute slugfest in which the returning Yoshie scored a big win over the ever underachieving Nakanishi, pinning him with a diving body press. Nakanishi took a nasty bump to the head in the match and there are fears of a concussion, so he may miss some upcoming dates. And finally RISE leader Shinsuke Nakamura revived his grudge series with GBH leader Togi Makabe and again got the better of Makabe, who himself has been somewhat underachieving lately. Nakamura pinned Makabe following his Landslide to set up a big round two match against RISE second-in-command Goto.
The only other match on the main card today saw the intergenerational ace team of Tanahashi & Nagata face Bernard and the debuting Val Venis. Bernard sent a severe warning to Tanahashi by pinning the IWGP Heavyweight Champion, a signal of his intent as he heads into his New Japan Cup campaign.

The tour breaks now until the 14th, which is a non-tournament show, then round two takes place at Korakuen Hall with four intriguing matches. The technician Milano vs. powerhouse Bernard and a battle of fiery hard-hitters as Ishii battles Yoshie. Then a revival of one of the best technical series of earlier in the 2000s, Nagata vs. Iizuka, as the former tag partners go to war for the first time since Iizuka’s turn to the darkside. Unlikely this will be a highly technical match this time. And then the big one as RISE collides - Nakamura vs. Goto!

Hiroshi Tanahashi's ninth win in a row ensured he is in great form still ahead of his Tokyo Dome match with Keiji Muto. Today's opponent was a man he fought in the same building a year ago, Giant Bernard, and despite GBH's best effort, the result was the same, two High Fly Flows making the difference. MVP will still be tag kings going into the 1/4 show, after Makabe & Yano made a successful V4 defense of their IWGP Tag Team Title over Nakanishi & Yoshie, revenge from the G1 Tag League. Makabe landed his top rope King Kong kneedrop on old rival Yoshie, and the GBH team now look on a collision course with either or both of Team 3D or TenKoji on 1/4, the latter team having reached the final of All Japan's tag league today, in which they will face Suwama & Shuji Kondo on Monday. Masato Tanaka scored tag revenge for his singles loss to Nagata in October, that deprived him of ZERO1-MAX's World Heavyweight Title as Emblem bested Nagata & Kanemoto today. Tanaka's big win came following a Sliding D and he made demands for a rematch against Nagata to try and take the belt back to 01, with a 1/4 match seeming possible, moreso if Nagata defeats Takaiwa in his next defense of the title.
RISE's Nakamura & Goto, continuing to bounce back from their G1 Tag League disappointment, won big today by beating Legend's Choshu & Chono, Nakamura forcing Power Hall to submit to a cross armbreaker. Nakamura then made the challenge that the magazines suggested was coming, calling out NOAH boss Mitsuharu Misawa for a fight at the Tokyo Dome. Although a singles match seems unlikely at the present stage, what is likely is a Nakamura & Goto vs. Misawa & X (Jun Akiyama being the leading candidate) super tag match on January 4th.
