* Makabe finally gets off the mark in the IWGP Heavyweight vs. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight main event, pinning Devitt. This moves him to a 1-2 record but Devitt is still 2-1.
* Tanahashi continues to struggle a little, only managing to draw with NO LIMIT’s Naito today. Naito beat Tanahashi in the New Japan Cup this year in what was a major upset, so continues to impress in big singles matches.
* Nakamura also got off the mark following a poor start, beating Bernard in the first ever singles match between the two.
* In the battle of “outsiders”, freelance Kojima lariated Shiozaki in somewhat of a surprise outcome, as these sort of matches often go to 30 minute draws in the G1.
