Note to you guys, do not let the lack of names fool you, because these guys are looking to push the pace and impress the fans in attendance. The story, one guys pushes the pace for most of the fight, one shows tremendous heart and tries everything he can to fight him off. Throw in some wacky attacks and a nasty finish and you got a good fight.

If that wasn't one of the most memorable fights of the year, I don't know what is.  Nobody has ever done that to Forrest Griffin.  As huge of a Silva fan as I am, I never expected it to go down like that.

Former TUF Season 2 contestant, Jorge Gurgel takes on up and comer and MTV Bully Beatdown MMA fighter, Conor Heun. Gurgel a black belt in BJJ, refuses to use his BJJ in MMA and mainly utilizes his Muay Thai stand up skills to put on exciting fights which often puts Gurgel in bad situations, thus Gurgel receiving a lot of criticism. The story, both guys push the pace with one having the advantage for most part of the fight and the other showings tons of heart and continuously fighting back.

Cruz has only lost one fight and it was at a bigger weight class, at Featherweight and coicidentially it was to a training partner of Benavidez, Urijah Faber, meanwhile Benavidez enters the fight undefeated. Both guys like to push the pace and that is exactly what they did. The main key in this fight are the takedowns.

Definitely not a great fight, but definitely really entertaining. The crowd reaction to the whole fight and the backstory and importance of this fight made up for it. Really well worth a watch.

Also, for anyone who wants to see a brutal beatdown, find the 102 preliminary fight between Gabriel Gonzaga and Chris Tuscherer. That beatdown was nearly as bad as Pete Sell vs. Matt Brown and Scott Morris vs. Pat Smith.

Aurelio steps in to replace Matt Veach who suffered a back injury in training for this fight and the BJJ black belt puts on a good fight against Dunham. Lots of punches are thrown to the face in this close fight.

Aaron Simpson vs. Ed Herman (UFC 102 - Couture vs. Nogueira, 8/29)

Both guys push the action in this short, but really entertaining fight. Some neat takedowns, strikes and up kicks really make up for the awkward end.

Randy Couture vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (UFC 102 - Couture vs. Nogueira, 8/29)

Way to entertaining to not add here. Both guys have fought in DREAM and are looking to make there way back there and they know a big win here could boast them back on to DREAM shows, so they both give it there all. Miyata is an Akira Maeda protege and maybe knowing as the guy who got knocked out in 4 seconds by KID at HERO'S 5. Yamazaki is fighting out of the GRABAKA gym. Fight goes to the ground and both guys know each others gameplans. Miyata's gameplan is to avoid getting submitted by pounding Yamazaki's face in and Yamazaki's gameplan is to submit Miyata while avoiding getting his face pounded in. The Korakuen Hall crowd loves Miyata and they make it obvious. There's a sign of the Shibata vs. Minowa fight from DREAM 8 also. Add in all that and you get an entertaining fight.
