Last show before Kobe. Makabe has won the last two matches so I think it's 7-5 to him leading in. Possibly good sign for Nakamura using the old laws of pro wrestling (loser goes in strongest) but NJ has swerved with this booking plenty of times before.

Christ, Iizuka lost again, Makabe definatly has the ''advantage'' going into this but i see Nakamura winning the belt...hope the Unchained Gorilla proves me wrong.

I'm definately worried as both Makabe and Chono won their matches today which leads me to believe that they will lose tomorrow and I'm even more worried will see Nakamura/Tanahashi AGAIN soon enough.

If Nakamura gets it, he's gonna roll into WK IV as champ. And if Tanahashi is healthy we will assuredly get Tanahashi vs Nakamura as the main event. Tanahashi is to WK as HHH is to Wrestlemania. I think you catch my drift. O0

I hope Nakamura wins and I like Makabe.

I'm all for Makabe being a main eventer but I like the idea of title being extremely valuable and difficult to win. Since Tanahashi and Nakamura are the top two, it's common for them to have repeated reigns, Makabe and Goto are better as strugglers who fight their way there slowly over time (not Nakanishi-length time where it's too late by the time he wins it).

Also, I still think Makabe's first title reign could be best a full blown heel again, which you have to think will happen eventually. He may be hot right now but think in a few months when his feud with the dangerous Nakamura has died down, will he be as effective and will he be able to headline the Tokyo Dome (if he was to hold it that long)?

Oh yeah and a heel hasn't held the title since Fujita (if you consider him such) in 2005. It has been native babyfaces, outsiders who are babyfaces (Muto), and wrestlers designed to be babyfaces but unpopular (Lesnar) ever since.
